Where We Worship
We invite you to our Worship Celebrations every Sunday. They are held in the chapel at Steinbach Bible College located on Hwy 12 North in Steinbach.
Sunday Schedule
- Sunday School - 9:30am
- Worship Service - 10:30am
Typical Sunday
- Our emphasis is on inclusion rather than exclusion
- Our dress is casual, and our setting, a theatre-style chapel, is not overly "churchy"
- Our music reflects a contemporary style. People playing piano, electric and accoustic guitar, drums, and other instruments, worship along side of two or three vocalists from the front of the auditorium
- Any announcements, and especially our prayer time, celebrate our life as a community and help us to 'weep with those who weep' and 'rejoice with those who rejoice'
- A practical message helps us to make sense of our world as we see it through the lense of God's Word
- Special features of communion, baptism, child dedication and reception of new members are integrated into our worship service on a regular basis
Ministries for Children During Our Services
Nursery:
Jesus said, "Whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name, welcomes me." (Matt. 18:5)
The mission of our nursery is to welcome the littlest ones of Stony Brook by providing a safe, happy, loving introduction to church. Our competent team of caregivers delight in each baby and toddler with cuddles, play and of course feeding and changing.
We are blessed with caregivers for each service who serve on a rotating basis.
We presently have about 15 children for each service and are expanding with both biological and newcomer growth. You are welcome to join our team in helping lay a firm foundation of faith in the lives of babies and toddlers. In a real sense we, along with their parents, will be their first picture of God and His live for them.
Children's Church:
Children are a treasure and we consider it a privilege to teach them about Jesus. Children ages 3 through 5 join the opening segment of our worship service consisting of an upbeat praise and worship time. Then they are prayerfully dismissed to the capable hands of our dedicated team of children's church workers. Each service consists of a story, crafts, singing, and play time.
Presently we have about 40 children divided into two groups, participating in our children's church with new children joining every week.
